Information and Advice on health and safety in the workplace- GMHC can provide information on the law, your rights, scientific and technical details and advice on how to tackle problems on health and safety in your workplace. This service is free to workers, safety reps and community groups in the NorthWest. Contact us by telephone, letter or e-mail but give you full postal address, as we may have to send things to you.

Support Groups - The Hazards Centre runs three support groups: Greater Manchester Asbestos Victims Support Group (GMAVSG) which gives advice and information to sufferers from asbestos related diseases and their families. Manchester Area RSI Support and Action Group (MARSAG) which helps people suffering musculo-skeletal problems related to work. Bereaved by Work (BbW) which helps the families of those killed by work activities.

Voluntary Sector Health and Safety service - If you are an organisation in the voluntary sector, GMHC can help you meet your obligations to staff, volunteers and members of the public, and comply with health and safety law like other business undertakings.

Greater Manchester Hazards Centre (GMHC) is a small voluntary organisation in existence since 1987, funded by the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities and the Community Fund, plus affiliations, donations and fees.
Affiliates receive a copy of Hazardous Times newsletter.
